I can say with certainty that NWA is no longer upgrading FB members. Specifically, they are no longer upgrading US members. Though the rule is that the upgrade doesn't apply to American or Mexican members, they did for the last few years.

I asked a gate agent at DTW today why I wasn't on the upgrade list and she said that they had a memo that "Air France elite pax were no longer able to be upgraded". She also confirmed that my dossier stated "pax no eligible for upgrade".

I've switched my addy back to France for the moment. Let's see if my next flights are any different.

Otherwise, I may need to see if they'll comp me!
