Nope, 5/6 flights LHR/FRA-YYZ they've taken orders by status.

Interestingly, the most gracious and friendly FAs have been on domestic flights! But I've been quite happy getting my meal choice very reliably as E even last year, and now as SE much more often.

Twice when they haven't and I didn't get my choice I asked if it was policy ("oh, I thought that you took orders for SE and then E first?"), and then they were embarrassed and apologized. Once they "found" what I wanted somehow, the other time the whole flight (to PEK) was mis-catered and I got something completely off the menu... which they provided 10k points for.

So I'd say it is policy... (I think discussed on another thread too)
