I have tried to find solutions to this problem. The product I use only comes in 120 ml flasks, like most contact lens solutions. I have tried some other products in 40 ml flasks and even pouring solution into small sample bottles, but my eyes have never forgiven me when I have tried this. As I have said, the vast majority of airport security staff tolerate 120 ml contact lens flasks, but obviously Heathrow have suddenly decided no longer to do so.
As your fellow contact lens user, I can fully sympathise with this. It's quite hard to find a small bottle under 100ml capacity anyway, and to buy one airside every time would be rather costly.

I have taken to taking Blink'n'Clean (this thing http://www.aclens.com/da.asp?ID=200 , 20ml bottle, I find it to much cheaper from a chemist at SIN) on board as it's in a tiny bottle - a contact leans cleaner and eyedrop in one, and substitute the contact lens solution. Maybe this is not appropriate if you are using normal lenses, but mine work fine as they are monthly extended wear ones. Using them as contact lens solution is a bit costly but I don't get it confiscated either.

By the way be very careful decanting contact lens solutions - not exactly sterile anymore if you do that. Eye infection is definitely not something you want while you are away.
