They do not have AVOD wired in, but I the last time I flew them they hand out personal video sets in F and rented out a limited number in Y. There is overhead video in both cabins. So be joyful about being able to book to SYD, but don't get all excited about the level of comfort or service. It is about the same as DL, with nice FAs and decent food, but F seats that are sub-par for long haul flights. Hopefully they will have some reasonable redemption arrangements for those of us based here in Hawaii. I would love to burn some of my SkyMiles on HA flights to SYD.
How long is the HNL-SYD flight? I did the LAX-ICN-SYD a couple years ago and boy was it long! If HA doesn't have BE style seats, then I can't imagine sitting in a domestic F class seat for 12 (?) hours.
