I was chatting with a Skymiles agent today as she cleaned up a reservation to reflect a cleared waitlist for a future flight.

She shared additional good news in telling me that Hawaiian Airlines is a new redemption partner, and that the official announcement would come next week.

She said that redemptions could be made for inter-island flights, as well as flights from HNL to MNL and SYD!

I look at the HA route map, and it seems that flights from the mainland to HNL, as well as HNL to Samoa and PPT, are not included. However, the agent said you could use the permitted HA flights as part of a multi-airline or RTW itinerary!

She also said that it seems mileage earning is possible, but she couldn't answer about MQMs.

Well, I am sure we will learn more when there is an official announcement!
