We enjoyed very much our short trip to Taormina last November and would like to go back again to Sicily in May, visiting this time the Syracusa and Agrigento area for a week time.

What would be your hotel recommendations in this area?

We would like to find (preferrably) an old mansion with charm and modern equipment (4 or 5 star range), but reading some comments about hotels in those areas, I have seen "horror stories" about tiny rooms, filthy baths, noisy environment, etc...

We are taking my in-laws along (71 and 76 year old), so I would like to find nice places.
