On the other hand, you'll be flying J to India so you should get COS bonus. That'll likely make up a tidy bundle if you find so many connections too onerous.

Consider also once you're done in India to fly back to SFO via Singapore.

Except the flight to India will be with Jet, a non *A airline so those miles (and any COS) would be orphaned (as a stand-alone flight I don't think you can get the AC codeshare and even then, I think it is only on flights to Mumbai).
