Since we will be travelling from a house in France, I looked at Iberia/Oneworld options out of the french territory. Whilst flights out of Barcelona would be mainline, Montpellier & Marseille are Air Nostrum, yeah!
What kind of service would I get on a sector of that length (MPL/MRS - MAD)?
Do you know what Clickair's like in terms of onboard service (what's the quality of the Buy-on-board menu), crew style & friendliness & reliability?
On Air Nostrum, you could expect a very good service. Depending on the hour, you get a breakfast, a lunch/dinner, etc. I'd suggest you to chek iberia.com, as if you were going to buy a ticket, and click on the flight number. You'll get information about the meals served. Breakfasts are good.
Let me show you some pictures:

But... do not take the CRJ-900 aircraft, since this aircraft is the only that has two classes, and in economy you get just a beverage in a plastic glass and some peanuts or similar. The rest of the fleet (ATRs, CRJ-200, Dash, etc.) have a single "regional business class" cabin and you get the business class service regardless of the fare paid.
Clickair is a low cost airline. Good crews and attentive service, but sometimes passengers are very noisy because of the low prices (high school kids, families...). It's not usual, but sometimes you travel with very impolite people that clap the FAs when they talk, etc. etc.
Crews are nice. Food is on a buy on board basis. Good, but nothing particularly good. The roast beef sandwich and the "lomo de sajonia" one are tasty of with enough quality. Never get the "jamon serrano" one, because the true spanish ham is expensive and needs particular conditions to be stored, so... no way, it's impossible to have a good "bocadillo de jamón" on board.
