Many properties do not feature lounges or alternate free drink venues and that is just life SPG do not promise "lounge benefits" irrespectice of whether or not a lounge exists, this is similar to other programmes and no big deal for me. Also provision of breakfast is not a SPG Plat benefit, even Hilton which have this benefit try to find ways to wriggle out of it IME.
