Well the 1st question that comes into place is how full will J be. Is it going to be =24, <24, or >24 (=25). Having said that though I wouldn't worry too much if I were you. Chances of you and your partner being downgraded will be low.
Right now there are 21 people in J, with only four seats left. And the flight is still Four days away. Might fill up soon.
Also to note is Economy has about 14 seats left.
I hope I don't get downgraded, but my luck on Air Canada lately has been awful. Past 5 flights in a row have been delayed over an hour, and my suitcases have been lost once. Been awful luck.
