A non-stop flight would be great but also quite expensive. Air India could pull a stunt like this with their B77Ls but they would have to compete with any airline that offers a connection between BOM & LAX which is a lot considering they're on opposite sides of the globe. The european, asian & even the north american carriers all offer flights on such a route. Given the cost of opperating an ultra long haul (ULH) flight, fares would be high & easily undercut.

Whilst the indian national carriers mature, I don't see such a route happening, certainly not this year. In the future, who knows...
