Re: CXYYZ, Civicmon, & others: Returning to the baseline ?? is intelligent interrogation to catch lies, nervousness, & inconsistencies. Asking the same ?? a dozen times in a row like a broken record is what my now-deceased, retarded Cousin Steven (IQ = 50, upper trainable, almost educable) did. Each asking must be far enough apart in time from the last to allow the questionee to forget what s/he said before!

Re: the OP: IMO U did not lie about Denied Entry, which IMHO means, 'Go home--UR not welcome in our country, so stay out.' The officer in Detroit said, 'Go home, fetch your passport, & then come on in!'

If Imm./Customs officers may not ask us ??s, what is the point of having them at all. But they should be reasonable & intelligent. What do Israeli Immigration & El Al security do differently/ better?
