As for the US airways flight, not too sure what to tell you. Try just sending the Itin and see if you get away with it, I doubt it though.

I always keep all of my boarding passes in my passport while travelling, so I know where there are, and when I get home I pin them on the fridge. Once they post, I throw them out.

I have an upcoming flight on Lufhtansa and Swiss, and will be ensuring I keep my Boarding Passes.
