39 people in business? Really?? Funny this is the first time I'm hearing about this. I used to pick this flight up regularly because it was like an inflight vacation day it was so stupid easy.
The added factor of a larger business class cabin will mean more work for the business class FAs but it will not require more crew. The 767 200 requires 1 less for FAA minimum crew but usually has the same amount of FAs for a turn as the 767-300 does. The SJU flight on the 767 has always had the same amount of flight attendants as the BDA flight. The people will not get a hand run service now. Everything will just be taken out on mobile carts, as it is on SJU.
All in all, it should be much easier than the one time I did F on the 757 to BDA when the purser wanted to hand run everything in the F cabin but couldn't get her act together. By the time she figured out what and how she wanted to do things we were snatching forks out of people's mouths on landing and almost touched down with a few trays in the seatback pockets. Never again on the 757 in F for BDA. No thanks. You never know what kind of clown you're gonna work with and I just don't have the patience to sidestep around stupidity on an hour flight.
I don't think ANYONE will have a problem with a 767 regardless of how many seats we add to the business class cabin. The biggest problem will definitely be, as you all have noted, deciding who gets the big seats and who doesn't.
