I just got back from B.A., and spent my last night at the Park Tower, on a paid stay. No Malbec or chocolates for me, despite being platinum. Sure, the room was nice, but not overly so: nothing special in the bathroom department, nothing special about the TV or bed, no posh furniture. Enjoyed the view we got of the former British Clock Tower and Retiro train station from the 20th floor.

But had to cajole and show disappointment regarding no late checkout in order to get 6pm offered (we had the midnight flight home). No suite upgrade. Asked but was told no lounge access/no breakfast. Didn't think to argue the Sheraton's lounge, but it turned out this was just wrong, because I asked again later, to another person, and was told breakfast WAS included. Asked and was told no use of the internet for free (this turned out to be completely wrong, too: you can use the business center free.)

We liked the hotel fine; it's just that after several days at the Palacio Duhao Hyatt, even without status and in a low-floor room, the Park Tower was, for me, rather mediocre. This might not have been true if the original check-in agent had impressed us and given us the straight deal on the perks instead of making up the rules. Management seems to have need of a training project. The "can't do" attitude is not exactly the sort of impression to give out on checkin..... Perhaps I should have asked someone else and gotten a second opinion about the availability of suites, too.
