I know that because it's an award ticket I beleive I have to check in with AA even though the first leg is AS. Don't know if I can use the Alaska Kiosks to check in for an AA award purchased with Alaska miles.
You ALWAYS check-in with the operating carrier not the issuing carrier although you may have to get new BP from AA on the subsequent segments.
