I guess I both have to answer my own question and stand to be corrected. Once the revised booking arrived by email from AA it clearly had the QF legs in P rather than Z. So it seems for new bookings the new QF fare codes are being correctly used. I assume for existing Z reservations, they would have automatically or manually been changed to P. Why did I doubt AA's competency ?
