What's most irritating, I am about 2,500 yards as the crow flies from a major Los Angeles Freeway (US 101). Signals on the freeway are maximum bars.
You should look at T-Mobile Hotspot @Home. They're also coming out shortly with a landline replacement add-on - WIFI router with two SIM card slots.
Main point is that with the hotspot @home, you get service at home at least as good as your internet connection.
