Without knowing your screen size and resolution, and this might be Firefox specific, but I find the poster column is variable width depending on the longest user name in the last poster column. If
Klm is Dead - Long Live KLM was the last poster that column ends up twice as wide as normal width, so perhaps if they make that column have a maximum width would solve this problem.
Personally, I don't ever have this problem using my laptop with a 19" widescreen display at 1440 x 900.
