Its funny how much non-smokers hate smoking and how much the smokers wish for it to return. As for glamor and smoking thats a thing of the past; most smokers these days fall into the less glamorous income brackets.
As a child I had pretty bad asthma which made it difficult to fly. If they allowed smoking on planes again I would be in for a mandatory career change.
As such I greatly applaud strict enforcement of the non-smoking policy. If I had an attack set off by a smoker, I would be pretty upset. I doubt that would happen but it would really ruin a long flight for me. Asthma attacks pretty much take the wind right out of you and with the amount of oxygen at cabin pressure headaches are assured. Not something I would want to deal with as I usually go straight to work off of the plane
