I attended the meeting yesterday. I think I was still in REM sleep when it started (8 a.m. - how disgustingly early - and that fact was criticized by a stockholder who chastized management for making it so early on purpose so fewer people might be able to attend.)

There were about 250 people there, most of whom were retired/active employee/shareholders. There were about 30 people there from the press. Many of the employees flew in for the meeting - 2 of them from Hawaii no less. Others from SFO, STL, and even a gentleman who recognized me from checking in at ORD. All of senior management was there, and to my knowledge most of the Board was there, except for one nominee who had a prior committment.
Creighton was at the podium the entire meeting and was very articulate and professional, even when some stockholders interrupted him with some seemingly off-topic items.
He laid out the proposals, had the shareholders who had resolutions present them, closed the voting, presented a power-point, solicited questions and comments from the audience, and finally reported on the vote and adjourned the meeting. The whole process took approximately two hours.
As would be expected, there were criticisms from current/former employees of the company.
The rank-and-file were critical of the US Air aborted acquisition and UA's treatment of its employees, just to name a few. I certainly could go into some more detail, but I'm sure the press has done its job in doing that.
Overall, a bunch of unhappy employee sharholders. The only bright spot for them was the approval of three of the resolutions, anywhere from 51% to 59% voting in favor, which was met with nice applause. Most of the senoior management stayed around to schmmoze, but when I was going to see what people were saying to Dutta, he was quickly wisked away by one of his handlers so he could avoid answering any more of their questions.
