Let me know if there's anything I can help you with - my only forays around London last year were in a wheelchair. It was like living in a different city to the one I knew before I had to use it. (I've been able to walk again only very recently, memories are still very fresh).

Hope your lungs are good - trying to get people's attention so that they'll notice you and move can be a problem. I found that wearing a bright orange top helped.

Novotels have, in my experience, been a particularly consistent chain. Whilst I haven't stayed at the Kings Cross one, I would consider any of their hotels amongst the better options for those with mobility requirements. I think you've made an excellent choice.
