In regarding to booking a specific room type from our website, this is only a request. Like most hotels, we are unable to guarantee room requests like specific locations, views, bed and room types, etc. Regretfully, we are at the mercy of only being able to select from the rooms that check-out the day of your arrival: and sometimes guests unexpectedly stay another night, or unforeseen maintenance problems occur which may create room shortages. We do everything in our power to avoid situations like that. We want nothing more than all our customer’s to be comfortable during their visit, especially our valued Diamond customers! It is never our intent to frustrate anyone and apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced. Typically, if we are unable to accommodate your request upon check-in, we are able to move you the next day. If you ever have any concerns about the quality of our service or products, please do not hesitate to contact the manager on duty immediately. It is our goal to assure your complete satisfaction during your stay with us.
We truly do value your loyalty, and do care about your concerns and satisfaction. Rest assured that we will never make the mistake of not caring. If I can be of further assistance, please let me know. We hope to see you on a visit in the near future!

I think I made it too complicated.
My Response:
Thanks for the email,
I understand that unforeseen circumstances, such as a guest changing plans, or maintenance can always limit what rooms a hotel has to offer an incoming guest.
My specific question is this: if I reserved a certain class of room such as a Premium Palace Room on the website at a rate of "comp" do i have the same rights as if I were paying cash?
The message I am hearing from the checkin clerks is that it doesn't matter what room I reserve, I get what is available when I arrive.
Thanks
Sean
