I'm flying on LX from T2 at the ungodly hour of 6.10am and will need to check in at about 4.30-4.45. I've decided to stay at the T4 Yotel the evening before.
Question is: how do I get to T2 from T4 when the HEX isn't running? I would imagine there is some kind of inter-terminal bus transfer that runs 24 hours?
Assuming that you are *G (apologies this isn't clear since I am not au fait with UA MP), then you really do not need to check in that far in advance. I have taken this flight several times and I have arrived at the C Check-in at about 5:00 (and I think the check-in only opens then) and after I have completed check-in and headed towards security, there was a very long line of passengers still waiting to check in. The LX sub-forum within the LH forum should be a reasonable source of this information.
As for the T4 to T2 transfer at this time I normally book a car with LHR Express when travelling from the Skyline to T2, I suspect that you would be charged around £8, but the transfer would be quicker, there would be less hanging around outside in potentially cold weather and you would have some vital extra minutes in bed.
