Caveat: The power is not able to charge the battery (for the laptop that takes too many watts), so start with a fully charged battery so you don't have to use it with the battery removed.
Amended caveat: The AC power supply on A330s puts out a limited amount of wattage, so it
may not be able to run your laptop
and keep the battery charged.
(It really depends on how energy-efficient your laptop is, methinks.)
