I mean, all you know is what Kip has told you. Perhaps he is saying that he's looking for explosives to lull terrorists into a false sense of security because what he's really looking for is ceramic knives in shoes and he doesnt want the bad guys to know that THAT's actually the point? Does that make him an idiot...or clever?

In any case, that policy is not a Kip Hawley policy, it is a TSA policy and would exist no matter who ran the joint. So why single out the man instead of the policy...or the agency that creates the policy...or the Administration that runs the agency...or the Congress that authorizes and funds the agency and is responsible for oversight of the agency?
