How long a trip?

I would not hesitate to go in August because of weather concerns. Yes it may cloud up, but I have always had good sunshine. I will be 80s-90s and humid. But that will be offset by the constant breezes. A tad cooler at night, but again, one can never predict. They do have fans and AC lol.

The key in the Virgin Islands is to get out on the water, visit other islands. I must also point out the Bristish Virgin Islands next door are arguably more scenic because they are less commerical/developed. St. Thomas is a tourist trap, with lots of crime. BVI is essentially crime free with beautiful and plentiful beaches on all the Islands. Good for swiming and snorkelling.

St. Johns, while USVI, is much more like the BVI in this regard.

PS - St. Martaan is nice. But also very developed, commercialized, much more touristy now than it was 30 years ago. I would choose Cayman over St. Martaan. Still, nude beaches, lol...

Cheers,
Perhaps a silly question - but how long's a good period of time to stay? We're thinking 11 days - too much? Guess we can do some island exploration on the BVI side? Me, Ms. Trippy and Trippy Jr (6).

Also - how's the medical services there?
