Suggest to avoid any cottages with tin roofs. Volcano Village is in a rain forest. We stayed in a darling cottage (sorry don't remember name) but the noise of rain on the tin roof was deafening - couldn't hear each other more than a foot away when it rained after we came back from dinner. Too loud and not nice for sleeping either
