I've vacationed in St.Thomas/St. John in September for a week a couple years ago, and the weather was perfect - never needed a sweater! Our friends one year were lucky to survive a hurricane years prior and spent 2 whole days inside shelter without seeing the light of day! Bottom line is it is hurricane season, and there is that risk no matter what.
