Hi All

Is it possible to upgrade from economy to UC or premium at the gate? I am travelling back from San Francisco in June. Company will only pay for economy, which is fine for the LHR-SFO leg, but I would like to upgrade on the way back.

I can't stay a saturday night, so can't use miles plus money and I don't have enough miles to just buy outright.

So, can it be done at the gate at SFO and how many miles for the upgrade from economy?
