Good choice. In that case, plan on seeing more than just the Peace Park and Atom Bomb Museum. Definitely take the ferry over to Miyajima and visit the world-famous temple with the "floating torii gate."

See if you can catch an HD-TV NHK production "Hiroshima Ground Zero" about the recreation of a very old part of Hiroshima via computer graphics done from oral histories. This town within a city was destroyed by the Bomb. It was directly on the other side of what we now call the Atom Bomb Museum.
