I did 4 quick returns in MUC in Jan/Feb to take advantage of this promo. Went out of ATL on Wednesday returned Thursday morning from MUC. I got a few questions along the way by agents etc that noticed that I was there every week!

When I booked these trips I was concerned that I would run into the same problem as the OP with regards to passport control and check-in. When passport control asked me why I was in Munic I told them I was a connecting passenger. They didn’t have a problem. Even at check-in I did’nt run into any road blocks until the third time. I think the agents found it a little odd that I was traveling from Munic and not checking any luggage. The third time the agent asked me why I was traveling, and I told her that I was connecting via Munic. She asked me what my inbound flight was – she kind of caught me off guard and I didn’t want to tell her that I was doing a mileage run. I said that was just on an inbound flight connecting to the US. She looked at me confused. She took my passport and went over to the DL check-in counter and looked at my itinerary and came back to me. She asked me why I was in Munic again. My response was it maybe hard for you to understand. She asked if I was doing it for ‘status’ or ‘miles’ I was surprised that she knew what it was and told her yes. Although she knew what I was doing she had a difficult time understanding why.

The following week when I walked up to check in I just said “hi” and we talked a little bit and she let me go no questions asked.
