If the hotel trusts their employees so little as to not trust them to give out the proper rate when warranted, and are afraid they will offer a discount when a friend is not eligible for it, then should I really trust that same person with my personal information? For that matter, why am I trusting them with my credit card number? If that person can't be trusted, why are they working the front desk?
