The email I received which included the PNR Locator doesn't show my MP number, so I'm not sure if it's associated to my account or not.

If you look underneath your itins for the link "Looking for a different itinerary", and you plug in the UA locator number, it should bring up some of your flights for the award, even if they are not UA. You do need the United locator. It won't accept the LH one.
You can also use the Check my trip site with the other locator numbers.
