My "escort" said the personalized ground service was currently only for passengers starting their trip at CDG, but that AF was working on implementing it for transfer passengers.

I did the exact same AMS-CDG-LAX in december on an award ticket. was met at CDG at the arriving flight from AMS by a lady with mr.Pattas sign. escorted through security (opening up a separate line), and asked twice if I wanted to go to the Premiere lounge. I didn't since I had a short connection, but it was offered.
on the return flight all connecting premiere pax were escorted through security and immigration, and delivered to the business lounge for their connecting flight.
Really hope that the anacdotal evidence is a sign of service improvement....
