I have always been taught that a continent was one land mass. How can anyone consider Oceania as a continent, I cannot understand. Oceania as a region makes sense.

Maybe my education has been very traditional; and by that I mean I learnt it some time ago. Mind you I was taught that Pluto was a planet, a fact that was correct until last year
