I never said the way they view their lunch break is a problem. It is just different. If you know the Filipino way then you can deal with it when visiting the Philippines. I'm not sure why you think mentioning the facts of Filipino culture is being racist. It is merely stating what is the reality. It is you who is judging their culture as "a problem", not me. My words were meant as a warning to people so that they know what the Filipino work culture is like. Some people would see the relaxed way of life and doing business to be a positive point of Filipino culture. Some will see it as a negative. Most people coming from Western cultures where business is very important will likely see it in a negative light while those coming from more relaxed cultures will likely see it as a positive attribute. It is up to each individual to view it how they want to.
You can pick just about any country on earth and find some idiosyncrasies or differences in their culture compared to your own. There is nothing racist about pointing out people's differences. I could find something in just about every culuture, including my own, that I cannot understand and that I see as being illogical but that doesn't mean I have any racist feelings towards those cultures. I have several close friends who are Filipinos and have no negative bias towards the Filipino people.
