Interesting to see many people expressing the wobbly bed. Last month LHR-IAD had NGCW (2nd time in NGCW though 1st on that segment...1st was January 07 when it was pretty new and I was quite impressed). Last month my seat was wobbly when it was in fully flat mode, the top of the seat (shoulders up) would rock up and down so that I had to put my head at the top in an attempt to not rock. Is this what others are experiencing? I definitely didn't have that issue when it was brand new. The width around the shoulders is definitely better. On the outbound flight to LHR I had a 777 with NCW and compared to the prior year flight IAD-LHR on brand new NGCW, I realized NGCW overall without the wobbly bed was much better for sleeping. That being said the NCW bed itself was fully flat and more comfortable sans the width issues. In NCW this year I was in 13K but moved to 11E because 13K had some issues and nobody was next to 11E on either side. So the claustrophobic issue was nonexistent. Had 62A in NGCW on the return and thats an excellent seat.

Also AVOD didn't work on this past flight, they tried to restart it 2x leaving us without any IFE for 90 minutes when the CSD finally reported that "there was nothing else she could do and that the engineers would look at it in Washington, of course that wouldn't help any of us on this flight, but I do apologize." Instead we had 12 channels of IFE. I did write though to inform them of the broken seat and also mentioned the IFE and received 50K miles, which surprised me, but was a good gesture. Is that the usual??

I must say though that on all of my BA CW flights (5 total) service has been very good. The cabin crew are always friendly and professional. I do agree menus should be changed more often, I had the same exact menu this past flight as a year ago (prawn curry with asian crab salad starter). I chose the same because it was very good the year before and it didn't disappoint, but it would have been nice to have another option as I didn't seem keen to try the Lancashire hotpot or other options.

Overall I do really like BA, I just wish they could fix some kinks and they would have a good product, having said that getting WT+ (for anywhere from $700-$1100 return) and using 25,000 miles to MFU to CW is a superb value. Without that, I certainly wouldn't be able to afford CW at this stage of my life and would have a hard time sticking with BA in general as I think I'd have a better experience with VS in PE.
