How many of us have read "Eat, Pray, Love"? Thoughts on the book?

I read this while traveling last month and basically read it as a travel narrative. I was surprised to find that some readers are seeing more as some New Age, self-help book. And then there is the controversy ... in one corner we have people holding the author up as a "hero" and in the other those who, as one New York paper put it, are referring to the book as "Eat, Pray, Loathe".

Just curious if you've read it (it's target audience is definitely women) and what you thought of it.

I admit I don't know that I came to like the author a lot through the book, but I did appreciate reading about her experiences and I particularly enjoyed some of the things she discovered about places I've visited many times. I've recommended it to a few friends, particularly those who love Bali as I do.
