I am checking star availability on the ANA website. I checked UA inventory for NRT to BKK on united.com. They show UA availability for the entire month so it takes under a minute to see UA availability for the year.
It seems to me that availability on UA is not great but at this point not much harm in holding on to my seat. If I am lucky a seat will open on the NH flight or 2 seats on the TG flight.
I have considered flying that leg seperate from my fiance. Doubt it will ever happen though. Although she has never flown C so can't appreciate the difference. Truth is we will both be fine in Y and have been our whole lives. Also I am sure that if we board the NH flight with one J seat and 1 Y seat she will trade the J seat for a 2nd Y seat.
