No I have not looked at availability at that hotel, sorry for the misunderstanding.

Soc said that you can book 52 weeks out online which you cannot for ANY hotel. When entering dates, accessing the calendar on Marriott.com, you can only access out as far as February 1 for ANY hotel reservation. February 1 is 50 weeks out not 52.

Regarding the hotel for which you are searching for award availability I will say for the third time:

"In theory 50 weeks out, same as paid stays. HOWEVER... not all hotels post their inventory then."

The latter part of that comment applies to your case. No matter how many times you complain to those of us here on FT about lack of award availability that answer will not change.

Now complaining to Marriott may well be more proactive. You can repeatedly call the Marriott Guest Relations as I did last year and you will get a variety of excuses from "they are sold out", to "they haven't released inventory" (which is actually true), to the CSR calling the hotel which may actually yield some success as it did for me. It took me a couple months and 4-6 calls last year, I don't remember the exact number right now, to finally get award weeks at Vail Marriott. It really annoys me that this is the case, but it is.

The other option, as I already suggested once, is to check daily and when award availability is finally release, book it. I prefer this method as I get very annoyed when people lie to me, which is basically what they are doing when they don't take the time to call the hotel and find out exactly what is happening with the lack of award availability.
