If I remember, KE was suspended from SkyTeam for awhile because of their crashes. I still cannot help but thinking that KE had something flawed in their pilot training. Hopefully, they have it straightened out by now. I still prefer DL when I have a choice.
Korean had lost some codeshares as a result of incidents between 1997 and 1999 with the last fatal accident being KE 801 in 1997.
Korean Air was a founding member of SkyTeam along with DL, AM and AF and they meet or exceed all standards set by SkyTeam and all government bodies. I have flown KE numerous time without issues and believe that have a better product than DL.
