Keep in mind that Qantas runs SFO-YVR certain times of the year, also (summer, Christmas time). I did an award ticket with them into YVR, and home from Victoria on Horizon/Alaska. Best part was BA lounge access at SFO. You don't get lounge access as a One World elite on Alaska.
