At MAA dom once you enter you have the outside entrance into the hall and then another metal gate where they recheck your boarding pass (visitors are not allowed beyond this gate). Just past that metal gate on your right there is a tshirt/bookshop and an escalator adjacent to it. There is only one escalator going up and you cant miss it.
