These are interesting developments. Unfortunately I am finding it impossible to have any forward looking thoughts in light of the merger discussion. It will be interesting to see what DL does with NW 787's. From their LAX focus city and from SLC they could hit Australia. It would be hard to believe that there is enough O and D to really help support that flight ex-SLC, though, and LAX already has a ton of competition. Maybe there is hope after all for an MSP-SYD flight.
