As someone that has worked in 110 countries (yep, counted them for our son's school project) and is very culturally sensitive, I caution you not to drop the
racist bomb when people are talking about cultures in an international setting. It certainly is appropriate for Americans to post their observations and perspectives about other cultures as long as they are not hurtful or outright incorrect. The same goes for other cultures posting the same about Americans.
My experience is that the post about blue collar workers (oooh did I strike another PC nerve?) not missing their lunch break in the Philippines is fairly accurate. I can also say the same with Philadelphia and Detroit in the USA. That certainly isn't racist, it's my perspective and you can take it or leave it.
Remember, perspective of the traveler comes from their culture however open or closed they are coming from that culture. Hearing a European gripe about "very loud Americans" makes me smile - I agree. However, I am an American and sometimes I slip into that category.
Lighten up and quit being the Politically Correct Police when it isn't needed and in fact, gets in the way of open and non-hurtful dialog.
