I think you mean the 17-55/2.8IS. There are very few on-sale on ebay, and no good deal. Right now, it's about $929 from B&H, but back-ordered. That's cheaper than what's being offered on ebay.

I have this lens and mine is one of those that can get huge amount of dust in, if not using a protective filter. If you buy used, you HAVE TO ask the seller to show picture of the lens to see if it's dusty, unless you don't care.
