I agree with SEA1K4EVR, flying backward is no big deal. I choose the backward facing seats when I fly WN, because I prefer to be pushed back into my seat on landing then on taking off.
To confirm what Tom Beyersdorf is saying, I have been on A/C with the new config (albeit in E+) and since the screen and the footrest are in front of you, there is no extra legroom in any seats in the new C/F.
But, I guess you are mourning the loss of the upper deck more than losing row 15 specifically.
