I have not stayed at this hotel, but have visited it.

I find the review - “An Authentic & Accurate Review!” Marco Beach Ocean Resort - from TripAdvisor gives a good picture of the hotel.

However, I don't think it's "worth every dollar". It's barely a "Luxury Hotel". The Gulf Bay Group is the owner/developer of this hotel.

It's a group of very wealthy investors ... well organized, very strict management, strict guidelines, no exceptions ... that might explain some complaints in TripAdvisor ...

The beach is nice! Marco Island is OK, but not great!

Bottom line: It's OK, it's expensive. I recommend the Ritz Carlton in Naples, both the Beach and the Golf!
