For our valentines dinner, at our favourite restaurant since 2001, we visited a neighbouring bottle shop (also a fave since the mid 90s).

Result: NZ Marlborough Sauv Blanc under $9, McLaren Vale Sth Aust (best area!) Shiraz $8. Both cleanskin but from a reputab;e supplier, easily half or 1/3 the price of similar provenance wines.

Very good. Very cheap!
